Prevention

For every $1 invested in prevention programming, the Southwest Prevention Center estimates a $10 return to the community in savings resulting from reduced future demand for health and social services. ICAN focuses on reducing risk factors that are associated with youth delinquency. Providing a safe and drug free environment, ICAN positively impacts participant’s knowledge, behaviors and attitudes regarding substance abuse and violence and helps them develop the resistance skills to realistically deal with these harmful issues in their lives.
